Accomodations

The accommodations, though luxurious, are built using locally sourced materials such as bamboo and recycled wood, seamlessly blending into the surrounding environment.

Each room offers panoramic views of the hills, allowing guests to wake up to the sight of the sun rising over the mist-covered peaks.

We were privileged to stay in their newly constructed wing with the A frame suite. The massive suite comes with a spacious living room, a master bedroom with attached washroom and an upper deck with a cozy bedroom.

The attached balcony opens up to a forest views with sounds of birds chirping and sunlight peeping through the trees. Waking up to such views is magic. The A frame suite is an experience in itself.

Connection with nature

Perhaps the true highlight of this eco-friendly resort is its commitment to responsible tourism.

Guests are encouraged to immerse themselves in the local culture and engage in activities that promote environmental awareness and conservation.

Whether it’s participating in tree planting initiatives or taking a hike to the nearby village and lake, there are ample opportunities for guests to give back to the community and leave a positive impact on the environment.

My experiences during the trek was phenomenal since I could connected with the kind hearted locals and enjoy conversations with them about their livelihood and their daily routine.it was also a special experience for me since I got a chance to pluck vegetables from the farm and enjoy the gentle breeze standing midst paddy fields.

Dining

And let’s not forget about the food. The resort’s restaurant prides itself on serving delicious meals from their well frequented café Magic forest. Whether you’re indulging in a hearty breakfast before setting out on a hike or enjoying a candlelit dinner under the stars, every meal is a culinary journey that celebrates the bounty of the land.

They have two restaurants – one is an Indian Chinese restaurant that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The views of the lake while dining makes it very popular choice for tourists and walk-ins.

Their breakfast buffets include cut fruits, juices, Indian dishes like poha, paranthas and puris, dosa and eggs made to order. We loved our breakfast, while watching the deep blue colors of the lake.

Our most favorite meal during the stay was their Kumao thaali – a platter with local flavors, rice and rotis serve with dips and salad. The raita and daal worked like magic, with their indigenous flavors.

Besides the culinary local culinary flavors, they also have continental offerings at their latest café in their new wing. The restaurant comes with indoor and fresco seating.

The interiors of the restaurant bled well with the outdoors, with tree branches emerging inside the space, thus promoting an eco-friendly approach. Worth trying are their pizzas, pastas and bruschettas.

Experiences

The resort curates boating experiences for guests to keep them entertained. I personally loved the kayaking experience, where I could feel a deeper connection with nature.

While rowing the boat, I happened to come across interesting birds perched on the trees.  In the evening, they planned a high tea in the boat. This sundowner was unique as we could enjoy watching the sunset in the boat, with a cup of coffee in our hands. Fresh crisp air, silence in the lake and coffee with your loved ones was an experience worth cherishing.
