Rawai Luxury Tents, Pushkar – A Pet Friendly Glamping Haven

Rawai Pushkar is a radical new ‘glamping’ resort in Pushkar, Rajasthan that has a fabulous combination of world class hospitality and luxury. The property is located in a nature corridor connecting the desert, and barely a few meters away from the Brahma temple and lake, the most frequently visited place in Rajasthan. The best part – its pet friendly.

Fifteen custom designed luxury tents are perched over beautifully landscaped grounds, providing a view and experience unlike any other resort in Rajasthan. Each tent is meticulously designed to invoke the feeling of what it would have been like to be on a luxury safari in the jungles.

Rawai Pushkar enjoys a delightfully remote location in a private nature sanctuary bordering the Aravali and the desert area. Established before Covid in May 2019, the luxury resort is a 7 hours drive from Delhi. Direct flights from Delhi are to Kishangarh is also available.

The ultra-luxurious camp, which comprises a collection of tents – has been meticulously designed. The spacious resort – which house the accommodations, a large common pool, well  maintained gardens, an Ayurveda spa and an al fresco restaurant – are design extravaganzas, all featuring a tastefully eccentric decor.

The 15 canvas-walled tents are dotted along a kilometer stretch that opens to a beautiful lush green garden area. All tents are raised above the ground, allowing the natural migratory movements of the inhabitants to continue below, and to provide sweeping views.

The tents are opulently designed in true Rajasthan style with tasteful local colors and fabrics, fascinating curios to recall the age of explorers and luxury travelers. Each tent features an extra-large king-size bed made of hardwood, a luxury washroom with single vanity, branded toiletteries, walk-in closet and a enclosed shower. The tent has a large outdoor deck with armchairs to soak in the sunrays on chilly winter mornings.

The luxury resort serves terrific cuisine, prepared by Executive chef, who is well trained in culinary skills. Meals are served in the tents or in the restaurant. Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner options are served in buffet and a-la carte. Thanks to the small number of guests, special requests can be readily accommodated with some advance notice.

The café Sol is also open to walk-guests and offer some fantastic Italian and continental dishes to indulge in. With gorgeous views of the Thar Desert and soul stirring music, the dining experience is worth being cherished. We loved their pizza, ravioli, pasta and their mocktails. Not to forget, they treat pets as lovingly as their treat guests. Our pet shihtzu was pampered and showered with attention during our stay.

The resort’s spa is located at the end of the resort, a short stroll from the tents. The treatment menu celebrates Ayurveda therapies with therapeutic herbs and oils. The spa’s two treatment rooms have ample space and are well equipped.  Guests can enjoy a nice foot massage while soaking in birdsongs, thanks to the scenic surroundings.  Other spa treatments – which include full-body massage and a detoxifying facial, are some of the therapies that they offer.

Rawai offers a wide variety of experiences that exemplify the spirit of fun and adventure, promising authentic interactions with the incredible desert setting – all with a twist of Rawai style. For example, guests can enjoy a desert dining experience at night, under the stars, where rustic vibe with folk music, candlelight and a private butler who takes care of you. Another highlight is exploring the nearby Brahma temple and lake, escorted by the team member of Rawai, where guests can pray and enjoy the serene ambiance of the lake setting and dive into the pious surroundings.

Rawai comprises of privately guided excursions and adventure activities offered by the resort. You can be rest assured of feeling pampered for your family or even pets. There are memorable experiences that include sunset drinks in different locations around the lodge, welcome with tikka and garlands, laundry service , WiFi throughout the property.
