Leela Ambience Convention Hotel – A luxury hotel in East Delhi

What makes Leela Ambience Convention Hotel Delhi unique is their excellent hospitality and friendly room service. We visited the luxury hotel last month and were floored with the luxury suite in which we stayed.

First impressions

The lobby looks luxurious with a huge chandlier in their main reception area. There are flowers in huge vases spread across that makes you feel more welcome. We were welcomed by the staff very warmly with a garland and a tikka and were ushered to our suite on the third floor.

The suite has a living room complete with plush sofas, soothing drapes, beautiful scenic views of the pool and the green foliage, a mini bar, tea coffee maker, a huge washroom with all the luxury amenities. The master bedroom had the softest beds with pure cotton bedspreads, fluffy pillows and a comfortable duvet. The king size bed was perfect for a nice snooze.

The best part was the room service, which was super-efficient. The server ensured the coffee was kept warm and the food well covered.

Dining

We had an early dinner at Dilli 32, an Indian restaurant serving healthy food options. I loved the cuisines well prepared by their executive chef.

They also have an all-day dining restaurant where one can enjoy lavish buffets. It was a Sunday brunch, so we loved the variety of spreads including Indian and continental – fresh, warm and well displayed.  For lunch, we relished some nice sushis that were well crafted by the head chef, who comes with a good experience in Chinese cuisines.

The spa

The spa at Leela offers a huge variety of therapies. From detox therapies to relaxing the mind, body and soul, the spa offers guests an experience of a lifetime. The ambiance of the spa matches well with the hospitality. As you enter, there is herbal tea offered that takes away tiredness and exudes a sense of calm to the mind. The music is soothing and makes you drift to an oasis of peace.

We entered the couple spa room – a spacious room with two massage beds, a large mirror, sofas, chairs and two big urns to dip the feet. Our masseurs, two very soft spoken girls from North East usher us to the chairs and make us feel comfortable. They begin by dipping our feet with warm water and gently massaging them.

We experienced the monsoon therapy that is a combination of scrub, massage and pack.  120 minutes of the therapy includes gentle scrubbing with coconut, massage with herbal oil and a pack covered by a large leaf ensuring the goodness of the pack seeps inside the skin. What makes the therapy worth indulging in is the gentle exfoliation process that gets rid of acclimated toxins.

Recreation at Leela is something worth mentioning. We enjoyed the pool both the days we stayed. It is clean, well maintained and offers nice view. It’s always best to choose early mornings and late evening for the dip to avoid crowd.

Things we loved:

The spa experience

The in-room dining – on point, quick and efficient

The rooms – spacious, well done and offering the best views
