Ekaanta – A Boutique Luxury Retreat in Haridwar

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could detox your mind and body for some time and re-charge your soul?

On my recent trip to Haridwar, I visited a boutique luxury retreat called Ekaanta – a mind body wellness retreat in the middle of the Haridwar main city. It is also referred as mindversity that gives deeply sensorial and uplifting experience of Mindfulness.

Amidst the chaotic and bustling city of the holy city, I found sanctity as I stepped inside. The place resembles heaven with perfect aesthetics set right on the river banks of Ganga. What I loved most was the spacious lobby with an adjoining sit-out area open to the flowing Ganges.

Previously this place was an ashram that has been modified into a spiritual retreat with modern interiors giving guests facilities with an added charm of wellness spirituality. The highlight of Ekaanta is their wellness programs that are customized for guests. Their yoga workshop in the forest facing the river Ganga is something worse experiencing.

The rooms come in different size and offer all modern amenities. From pods to large suites, all rooms are done very aesthetically. We stayed in the suite that was spacious and was well equipped with a king size bed, soft duvets with goose feather pillows ensuring you get a comfortable snooze.

There is a study table, comfortable chairs with sliding doors that lead to a sit-out area facing the river.

The washrooms are well equipped with luxury toiletries, rain shower, a large mirror and fresh towels.

Dining @ Ekaanta

When you dine at Ekaanta, you experience divinity in their soul food. They usually serve thaalis or platters that comprise of seasonal vegetables, lentils, salad and curd along with buttermilk. The taste is heavenly, light for digestion and creates an ever-lasting impression on the soul.

Private artis and meditation

Ekaanta organizes ganga arti and meditation for guests. This is mostly complimentary and an add-on to their soulful experience while staying. The ganga arti is worth experiencing as you feel closer to the divine ganga river and immerse the diyas and flowers. Chanting mantras and praying to the holy ganga is something that is worth experiencing.

Another thing that we loved was the soulful music being played in the background which literally simmers down the noise coming from the street.
