My recent experience at Fortune Goa turned out to be amazing and I would highly recommend this place for a stay-cation in Goa with your BFF.

1. Location –

Fortune Benaulim Goa enjoys a gorgeous location with spectacular views of rice paddy fields. It’s a delight for those who love to soak up the serene beauty of this space filled with rice paddy fields dotted with traditional farm houses. The hotel is only 25 Km away from International Dabolem Airport.

The road from the airport to the hotel takes around 45 minutes and winds through stunning scenery with its striking views of coconut trees and fields on the way.

2. Unmatched hospitality –

The staff of the hotel literally spoils you and pampers you with attention and excellent service. As our cab reaches the porch, we get a traditional Goan welcome. A guitarist sings local songs while the guest relations welcomes us with coconut water and a garland. A refreshing drink is all you would need after a flight from Delhi and a cab ride.

3. Safety –

As you may expect from the ITC Brand, the hotel provides impeccable, world-class service. As with every Fortune property by ITC, the staff at the hotel looks after you during your entire Goan holiday, if you are solo or traveling with your BFF. The staff coordinates your needs and requirements, to ensure all your queries are handled to maximum satisfaction and that your experience is memorable.

4.Rooms with views –

Fortune Benaulim features 96 spacious rooms, suites and private garden rooms, each designed to take advantage of spectacular valley views. The categories are – deluxe rooms, premium pool view and garden rooms, premium rooms with private gardens, chalets, garden view suites and royal suites.

During my visit, I stayed in the Deluxe room located on the third floor that has a gorgeous view of the fields. The deluxe room features an open-plan layout with queen size bed, and a bathroom equipped with single vanity, rain shower and wooden almirahs with safe. The balcony offered beautiful views of the valley and its lush flora. The rooms neutral, relaxing tones were complemented by natural timber furniture and local features.

Despite its small scale, Fortune Goa offers excellent leisure and wellness facilities. At the heart of the lodge is a beautiful wide pool with majestic views of the landscaped garden. The pool’s crescent shape mimics the terraced rice fields below in order to emphasize the beauty of this unspoiled landscape.

Across the pool area is an intimate spa center, with three treatment rooms for relaxation, and a modern gym. Spa treatments make use of nurturing essential oils from Ayurveda.

5.Food –

The food at Fortune Benaulim Goa is excellent and created by the hotel’s chefs from organic local produce with wellness at its core. Zodiac is the signature all-day dining restaurant that lies at the heart of the property, near the infinity pool; it has a rustic Goan-themed setting incorporating traditional bamboo woven elements in the entire space.

Guests start the day with an excellent buffet and à la carte breakfast at Zodiac, their all day dining restaurant overlooking the garden.

You can order a continental food for lunch, and sample delicious Goan cuisine with a Western twist at Zodiac for dinner. We highly recommend trying their local cuisines especially the fish that is prepared by the executive chef, who also does master class sessions in the gardens to interested guests and gives them a review of her culinary skills with her live cooking skills.

The High tea at the hotel is one such lovely experience that we truly relished. The decor and set-up is as enticing as the variations in food. there is a mix of continental and traditional dishes well decorated for guests.

6. Activities –

The hotel offers a wide range of activities. I highly recommend bicycling in the valley, indulging in indoor games when it’s too humid to venture out, and hike to Benaulem beach when the weather is pleasant.

The hotel’s highlight is the beach picnic at Benaulim beach. The staff carries a beach basket with cutlery, coconut water, fruits, muffins and sandwiches to enjoy at the beach while soaking in the surroundings. The spa at the hotel has a variety of treatments offered to guests for deep relaxation. The staff adheres to the norms and ensures guests feel relaxed.

6. Entertainment –

The hotel always comes up with interesting fun themes and dance shows to entertain guests. You would be surprised with the wonderful dance shows exhibited by the local dancers who make you sway to their music and encourage you to join them too.
