The finest Japanese restaurant in Lutyen’s Delhi – Wasabi by Morimoto at The Taj Mahal

celebrated its 5 successful years this
March with great panache and style. To mark this important milestone, the
iconic restaurant launched a new menu amidst a spectacular ambience in the
presence of Grandmaster Chef Hemant Oberoi who has been
instrumental in the success of the restaurant. 


The new menu
comprises of delicacies like Tenderloin Carpaccio, Ishi yaki unagi bop,
Encased Inari
 amongst others. The award winning restaurant has over
the years, won the hearts of food connoisseurs in both substance and style,
changing the culinary landscape in the capital. 
 
Wasabi by Morimoto, the world-class contemporary Japanese
restaurant is the brainchild of legendary Chef Masaharu Morimoto, known to many
as the Iron Chef. Visually stunning, this elegant restaurant offers the best of
Japanese gastronomic delights. The restaurant features the most impressive
repertoire of Japanese sakes with a separate sake bar, and boasts a dramatic
teppanyaki counter and sushi bar that treats guests to a vibrant display of
steel and iron showmanship. Wasabi’s unique feature is the strength of its
vegetarian menu, crafted entirely by Chef Oberoi.

restaurant has been

International food connoisseurs’. 
Wasabi by Morimoto offers a
private dining room that is set in the alcove of the restaurant offering
gastronomic delights. This room features lovely pink onyx walls, which are lit
from behind and can seat up to 8 people. Age-old favorites like tempura,
teppanyaki and sushi are turned into something new and surprising with fresh
cooking techniques and unconventional sauces. The sushi bar offers fresh
ingredients flown in from Tsukiji every day. This amalgamation of luxury – sophisticated
dining, exquisite interiors and discreet service has got Wasabi the recognition
over the years.
