The finest ethnic and Western wear was an eye treat at the recently held fashion show on 14th August 2014 at ASOM (A State Of Music), a newly opened club in Dwarka (Delhi).A unique concept – “Girl In The City” , promoted through a Fashion Show is being organized for party and Fashion lovers of Delhi/NCR.
ASOM designed this concept with fashion parties to be held every at the luxurious location of Radisson Blu, Dwarka with various designers. The show had ramp models showcasing the finest collections by Varija Bajaj, Siddhant & Shruti, Arif, Arshi Jamal & Preeti Singhal.
Here is the list of the designers who have won accolades in the fashion industry:Varija Bajaj, a senior designer also a member of FDCI, featured her latest Fusion Collection. She is a name to reckon with India Bridal wear. In fact, our Bollywood actress like Karishma Kapoor, Asin, Jacquelin Fernandez and many more are a strong loyalist of her collections. Siddhant & Shruti, Bhopal based designers & FDCI member, who are famous for heavy bridal wears; presented the collection of western and fusion wear for men and women both. This collection comprises of evening gowns.
Haaris Collecetion by Arif. Arif, who is one of the renowned designers for Men’s ethnic wear, was also a part of this Fashion Show. Haaris Collection is specialized for sherwani/ indo western/suits /shirts & trousers to focus the image of modern men. Arshi Jamal, the famous Indian Fashion Designer who is known for his creative designs and skills was also a part of this fashion show. This Lucknow based designer, who has many prestigious events in his credentials, showcased his collection ‘Silent Retreat’ in this Show.
Preeti Singhal showcased her collection Violet. Violet showcased the some vibrant clothing that represents the spirit of freedom and celebration for contemporary woman of today.
Many prominent names of fashion fraternity like Samantha Kochhar, John Uche Jesus (Diamond Ark) from South Africa and others also graced the event with their presence.
On the occasion of the first show, Mr Ankit Malik, Marketing Director-ASOM, shared, “We are overwhelmed looking at the response of the people. With this we look forward and hope to create an all together a new platform for designers to showcase their creativity and update our party lovers with the latest fashion in the trend.”
The designers were given 10-15 mins to showcase their collection with 20 Indian and 5 International models. “Girl In The City” is like a celebration of fashion followed by a after party which will be held every Thursday at ASOM, Delhites can make their weekends memorable by indulging with the best of international club experience similar to that of Vegas.
