The wellness center was nestled amidst lush greenery, far away from the urban hustle. As soon as I arrived, I was welcomed with a garland of fresh flowers; fresh lemonade and gentle smiles that instantly made me feel at peace. The scent of essential oils, the sound of birds, and the calm energy set the tone for what was to come.

Personalized Ayurveda Consultation

My journey began with a detailed consultation with an Ayurveda doctor. Unlike conventional medical appointments, this one felt deeply personal. The doctor assessed my dosha—the unique combination of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha that determines one’s constitution. Based on my pulse, lifestyle, and habits, I was prescribed a personalized wellness plan involving diet, therapies, yoga, and herbal supplements.

The living space – Blend of five elements of nature

Jivagram is extraordinary when it comes to living spaces. The entire building made with five elements helps in synchronization with the five elements of the body, thereby improving wellbeing. There are 3 levels in the building, comprising of a huge conference room, premium and superior rooms, a saatvik dining area, cooking class, a yoga hall, mudra room.

Rooms at Jivagram come in two categories, exuding warmth and comfort. Each room offers spectacular views, and is well equipped with a closet, table and chair & attached washroom.

Daily rituals to help balance the mind, body and soul

Foot reflexology : The tradition of walking on a pavement made with stones on the reflexology path is extremely beneficial for the overall body functioning. It aids in deeper relaxation, coordination, balance and chakra healing. They also have a water path created to take in the benefits of water through the soles of feet.

Water Therapy : Walking in water helps to calm the nervous system and cools the body temperature while balancing the doshas.

Hawan and artis: There are practices like hawans conducted in the morning; artis and bhajans  in the evening to connect with the almighty.

Nature Therapy

For the overall benefit of the human body, it’s always advisable to walk in fresh air, inhaling oxygen from trees, feeling the mud or grass in the feet and gazing at the green cover. Jivagram has a large space to walk around that help patients in connecting with elements of nature.

There are trees planted with flowers and seasonal fruits, welcoming the guests, a tree house in the vicinity that offers 360 degree views of the organic farm and a natural shed made with bamboos to block the UV rays from sun. Everything is planned to aid in better and faster healing of patients.

Music Therapy

The exteriors comprise of music therapy room, complete with musical instruments like tanpura, veena, harmonium, flute and table. The instruments help in synchronizing the body with each musical beat. Every instrument has specific benefit, helping to balance the mind, body and soul.

Mudra Therapy

Mudra means hand gestures which are made for the betterment of physical body. These gestures facilitate the flow of energies within the body in a way that helps relieve pain. Mudra therapy is an age-old effective therapy propounded by ancient sages.

This therapy is as old as culture given and practiced; it prevents specific physical and mental problems.

My two days experience included treatments that felt both therapeutic and luxurious. From Abhyanga, the traditional oil massage that left my skin glowing and muscles relaxed, to potli massage, where potli dipped in cold milk was gently dabbed on my entire face —every session melted away stress I didn’t even know I was carrying.

Jivagram is famous for its Panchakarma detox process that is intense but deeply cleansing. It helps flush out toxins and brings a surprising clarity to the mind. The therapists are skilled and respectful, ensuring each treatment honored both the science and the sacredness of Ayurveda.

The Power of Food as Medicine

Meals at the center are another highlight. Every dish at Jivagram is purely vegetarian, prepared with fresh, local ingredients, and tailored to the dosha of the patient. As you stay, eating on time becomes a ritual of mindfulness. Each meal, starting from breakfast to dinner is holistic and healthy, helping in better absorption and speedy recovery. I began to appreciate how certain spices, cooking methods, and food timings could influence how I felt throughout the day.
