Masterclass with Chef Alessandro Breddo @ Prego

always cherish.

Beginning with a briefing session
at 11:00 am, we were introduced to a platter of heavenly smelling herbs,
vegetables and fish that were a part of the Italian Masterclass session with
the chef. I was a part of a small group of bloggers and guests who were receiving the information on the menu especially crafted by Chef Alessandro Breddo. The Chef is an amazing person who loves to experiment with food.

The Menu crafted by the chef included –
  • Panzerotti Pugliesi con promodoro, oregano e mozzarella – Deep fried
    mini calzone with tomato sauce.
  • Arancini alla Siciliana con ragu, mozzarella e pissellini – Sicilian traditional
    rice ball filled with chicken Bolognese sauce, mozzarella and green peas
  • Cartoccio di sogliola alla Calabrese con pomodorini, palate e olive –
    Sole fish cooked in alumninium foil with cherry tomatoes, potato, basil and
    olives
  • Sfingi Siciliana con cream pasticcera – Traditional deep fried potaoto
    dough with icing sugar and pastry custard

The chef began the class like a pro. From the beginning till end, he continued to hold our attention while we questioned him regarding the kind of oil, the amount of herbs, the heating temperature etc. The dishes looked very easy to cook. I love Italian food, and would surely try these recipes for my family.

At 1:00 pm I was invited to sit
down to lunch with other bloggers and guests of the hotel on a large table where, throughout the lunch, there was
an opportunity to regain the flavours of the dishes.

Later, we were presented with
recipe cards for the prepared dishes as a memento and, of course, a certificate!

The Masterclass is priced at INR
1800 per attendee. This includes refreshments upon arrival, one attendee to the
Masterclass, lunch along with beverages to each course.
