A Sweet Delight with The Westin Culinary Academy

A Christmas special with Pastry Chef Abdul Wahid @ The Seasonal Tastes, Westin surely made my weekend super special. I am not really a person who loves cooking, but cakes have always fascinated me. So when I was invited to team up with the master chef of Westin
I was enthralled.

The  Westin Culinary Academy is all about cheer,
happiness and spreading the joy of the festive season. The Saturday afternoon
brought a chilly wave with it. A warm welcome by the hospitable staff of Westin
helped in de-frosting the cold feet. After a steaming hot latte, we set off for
the exciting cook out session with Chef Abdul Wahid.
The scrumptious Christmas
Classics included Gingerbread Cookies, Christmas pudding and Stolen Bread- . I
looked forward to learn making the mouth-watering sugary delights. With the apron
tied, I started the cooking session with the chef himself who first taught us
how to mix the ingredients well and bake them at an optimum temperature. The
first batch of gingerbread cookies came out truly delicious and tender.
We moved on to the next sweet
treat on the list -The Christmas pudding. A dash of rum added in the mixture made
the taste divine. The stolen bread made with dough and brown sugar is the
perfect answer to satiate your sweet cravings. The bread is a delight to sweet
lovers.
The session was followed by a certificate
handed by the chef himself. A gourmet lunch with a fusion delight of exotic
delicacies awaited us at the Seasonal Tastes. I relished the Indian chaats and
the exotic salads along with hot soup.

I
preferred to give the Thai food a try. The sea bass, Thai Green curry and  phad Thai Noodles delighted my senses. The
desserts have always enticed me with their rich variety of chocolate options
and Indian delights. I took some Teppanyaki ice cream and relished it to the
last bit.

It is always a pleasure to be at
the Westin for the culinary delights. The hospitality is taken home in the form
of a small sweet treat to memorize them even further. If you are interested to
