Women’s Empowerment continues to mesmerize @ Le Meridien, Gurgaon

A woman is an epitome of strength,
peace, love and perseverance and what better to honor the sacrifices she makes
by celebrating a full month just for her. It is not easy to be a woman in this
male dominated society.

In an effort to present a
stimulating perspective on Gender Equality & changing relationship dynamics
of women in today’s context, Le Meridien Gurgaon recently curated & hosted
an evening of panel discussions & live art over Coffees & Eclairs.
Held at the The Longitude Bar at
the Hub of the hotel, the eclectic speakers tantalized the event with their
persona. The panel of experts included Award winning singer and Founder The
Sufi Gospel Project, Sonam Kalra, Celebrated Artist, Anjanna Kuthiala, Author
of 5 Best Selling Books Meenakshi Reddy, Author, Writer& Poet Anita Krishan
and Jyotika Bedi.
Moderated by Meenakshi, Founder,
Gliterarti, panelists threw light on various perspectives of Gender Equality
including anecdotes from their personal life journeys and professional
experiences. While the guests enjoyed the reverberating thoughts shared by the
eminent speakers, a young talented artist Ghazal painted a live art on large
canvas of a woman playing multiple instruments while dancing to the beats.
I was floored by Anjanna Kuthiala
who shared the similar thoughts as mine. She emphasized that ethnic dressing at
work is equally empowering, if not more, in the power corridors of corporate as
western dresses. According to her, the idea is to find your own definition of
empowerment.
Mr. David Hopcroft, Le Meridien
Gurgaon who was very ecstatic about the event says, “This stimulating event is
extremely special to us which we have brought to you to celebrate women, break
down walls and connect over Meridien’s signature coffees and éclairs”.
Sonam Kalra who is a voracious
sufi singer went to explain how the very foundation of Sufism is laid down on
feminine voice and that she has always treaded the unexplored terrain in her
professional journey. Her latest album “bol” is rooted in unity and equality.
The audience was left mesmerized when the song was screened at the end of the
event.
The super successful event
concluded with lip smacking delicacies and heavenly éclairs along with hot
steaming coffees.
