Le Meridien Resort & Spa Khao Lak – A Staycation to remember

Thailand is simply beautiful. With its scenic surroundings, this Asian country promises a relaxing getaway for everyone. On my recent trip to Phuket with my mom, we stayed at the Le Meridien Khao Lak, around 1.5 hours away from the Phuket airport.

An oasis of calm, elegance, and indulgence tucked right in the heart of the city, this Beachfront hotel offers the perfect getaway.

First impressions

From the moment I stepped into the grand lobby, the atmosphere shifted — the soft scent of fresh flowers, the welcoming vibe and the warm smiles of the staff instantly made me feel special. The check-in process was seamless, and within minutes, we were escorted to our room.

The Pool access Room: Luxury uninterrupted

My room felt like a private sanctuary. Plush bedding, floor-to-ceiling windows with direct access to the pool, a marble bathroom with a soaking tub, and personalized welcome amenities — every detail was curated with comfort in mind. I couldn’t resist the temptation to spend the first hour just unwinding in the bath, sipping herbal tea, and letting go of my daily hustle.

What stood out most was the attention to detail. The handwritten welcome note, the surprise dessert in the room, the smiling room service — these little gestures created a big impact. It wasn’t just about luxury; it was about warmth, care, and personalization.

We were treated to a signature spa therapy at the hotel’s wellness center, and it was pure bliss. The aroma of essential oils, expert hands of the therapist, and the tranquil setting transported me into a deep state of relaxation.

Later, I explored their pool, easily accessible by my room, soaking in the luxury of doing nothing. This was the best part of my entire stay as I could swim whenever I wanted, without having to ruch to change into my costume, passing through corridors or even glances of people. Here I was enjoying slowly drifting and enjoying the float.

Experiences with Le Meridien Khao Lak

The best part of the hotel is that it keeps organizing interesting workshops to keep guests engaged.

I attended Muang Thai classes that taught me the art of self defence. It was a completely new experience for me and I loved it.

The next morning, I went for a cycle ride to the waterfall , accompanied by their tour guide and discovered the most beautiful scenic surroundings of Khao Lak. When we reached the destination, we couldn’t help but admire the gushing waterfall.

A Bonding Moment with Mom

One of the most special parts of this staycation was sharing it with my mom. We rarely get time together amidst our busy lives, but this experience gave us the perfect setting to reconnect — chatting over breakfast, laughing during our spa session, and simply enjoying the comfort of each other’s presence in a beautiful space. I loved exploring the property on my own, taking in the green hues of the landscape garden and strolling on the soft grass.
