Women’s Day Celebration @ Cafe Delhi Heights, Janpath

This woman’s day was a unique
celebration with like minded women at my favorite place Café Delhi Heights. I
have always loved this place because of several reasons – ambiance, cuisine,
healthy drinks, mocktails, salads and their warm hospitality.

Usha Batra and Kavita Devgun

The Janpath outlet has a very
brimming and lively atmosphere that is frequented with people of all ages. I
reached the place much before time and met the woman behind the delectable
cuisine, Mrs. Usha Batra who is the proud mother of Vikrant Batra, owner of the CDH
outlets.

Fresh salads

They started off from Banquets many years ago and are now flourishing
with outlets spread out in the city.

Adding more charm to the event, Nutrionist Kavita Devgan gave remarkable insights
around women health and tips to maintain good health with good food.
Quinoa Poha – healthy & tasty

It was an eye opening session to
know that dishes that we think are fat are actually necessary for our overall
health. She also stressed on sugar as the biggest hindrance to weight loss. Afterrthe I
loved the wide array of food spread on the table.

The The delicious menu spread
consisted of the most loved Butter
chicken gravy, Paneer makhani, Mutton korma, Lahori daal, Sarson ka saag with
makki ki roti, phirni etc.
But the best was the Quinoa poha. I loved this dish because of the vegetables seasoned with
herbs.
The exotic Phirni

The phirni also won my heart. Lucky for me, the sugar was less and the taste was one hundred percent top notch.

Although they have a great
variety of drinks, but my favorite wasThe ABC – A delicious concoction of
apples, beetroot and cucumber which is perfect in taste and health. I would recommend
this drink for people who are on a detox diet as it boosts immunity and also
helps to shed off weight.
