The pandemic scare seems to slowly move away and life starts to renew once again. My recent review of a southern speciality restaurant called Dakshin in @sheraton_newdelhi was spectacular. Not only was I impressed with the warm hospitality at the restaurant but I was floored by the sanitization and Hygeine taken care of in the cab.
While I boarded the cab from home, all the necessary measures were checked before hand – chauffer well equipped with gloves, mask and shield. The vehicle was completely sanitized with an adequate supply of masks and sanitizer to inhibit any danger of infection.
The hotel has taken care of all the necessary measures according to covid protocols. The entrance of Dakshin opens up to a wonderful staff wearing masks but folding hands to welcome us.
Dakshin has beautiful traditional elements of South India that speak volumes about their hospitality. Tables are placed at a distance to ensure safe dining experience for guests.
Everything on the table is beautifully laid out and covered in paper. The intricate cutlery is as spotless as the decor of the place. The menu can be scanned to promote contactless dining thereby ensuring safety for guests.
While we cherish the impeccable hospitality, the servers start showing us with a delicious spread of starters accompanied with buttermilk. A platter of dishes are curated to introduce us to different flavors of the South.
Each dish is vocal of its roots and has aromatic flavors that please the palette. Appams and parrotthas are served with dishes like chicken curry, potatoes, beans and curd rice. The highlight is their payassam which pleases the taste buds and satisfies the soul.
Dakshin serves lunch and dinner only on weekends. So it’s always best to make pripr bookings.
If you are you keen to experience southern flavors at Dakshin, you can contact @sheraton_newdelhi to book a table.
