You can listen to your calm spirit, bathe in your serene self or simply enjoy the breathtaking landscaping of the resort. The sweeping views of landscaped gardens provide a phenomenal backdrop to the stay at Siddha wellness village.
Our home for the night, Siddha wellness village was created a decade ago as a farmhouse and was lovingly refurbished by the owners who have managed to retain the cozy feel.
The Living Room
The resort’s main pavilion features a wide area, which offers fabulous views upon arrival. The living room opens to a large outdoor space with a pool that has relaxing lounge chairs to enjoy the beautiful manicured gardens.
Next to the living room is the lounge area that has minimalistic furniture with beautiful murals and wall art on each corner. A small wooden fireplace with monuments and figurines add a touch of class to the room while the delicate upholstery brightens the space even further. You can feel at home sitting in the lounge area for hours with a good book in your hands and a cup of tea.
The minimalist design stays true to the philosophy of responsible luxury, with a locally inspired architecture and eco-chic interior that harmoniously blends well with beautiful surroundings outside. Wooden paneling and neat neutral furnishings create a soothing effect throughout the sleek resort, while subtle splashes of color found within pastel cushions add a playful design touch. The handpicked decor elements can be found scattered around the property.
Dining Room
The modern design continues even more so as you make your way into the dining room. Framed by vast floor-to-ceiling windows and capturing dramatic panoramas of the garden, the dining room exemplifies the owner’s taste in nature and luxury. Luxurious, relaxed, comfortable and in-keeping with the rest of the property, but with just enough flair to showcase the food. Head chef here done a fabulous job of creating a menu which utilities the best of the traditional and continental cuisine.
The food here is mouth-watering, that incorporates ingredients from their organic farm. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be taken in the privacy of the room, or at in the dining room, where floor-to-ceiling windows take in the garden views while overhead candle-style chandeliers bring a touch of luxury. Meals can also be served on the terrace.
The Food
For our lunch, we dove into a traditional thaali created by the head chef. Presentation and flavor wise the meal was exceptional. Capturing the essence of farm to fork, the dishes prepared enticed us to a level difficult to express.
Each ingredient, spice or vegetable is sourced from their organic farm which is nurtured with natural fertilizers. The taste was different, light and very edible. We relished lentils, cottage cheese, rotis and yoghurt. But the star dish of our entire meal was the fish curry we had for dinner. A brilliant dish which if they ever needed to become a signature – I think this would be it.
Accomodation
Sidhha wellness features total 6 luxurious rooms, spread on the ground and first floor. All the rooms are designed with large windows and awe-inspiring views of the garden and pine trees. During my visit, I was upgraded to a magnificent room on the first floor, which featured a sizeable outdoor area. The bathroom has gorgeous neutral tones that are complemented by timber furniture and local decor touches. The huge windows usher in sun rays throughout the day brightening the room even further. The bed is as cozy as it looks, complete with bespoke mattresses and soft pillows.
At the other end of the luxury room, there is a also a cozy seating area where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, a flat screen TV, a writing desk and tea/coffee making facilities. The highlight is the huge window where you can simply gaze at the moving clouds or the lush green hues of the garden.
They have the most spectacular bath area and a walk-in closet; blending a touch of luxury with slick, modern design. Step inside the huge bathroom and you can find an invigorating walk-in rain shower and a luxuriously deep free-standing bath. The heavenly bath products from Forest essentials only add in to create that luxury bath experience. The toiletries only describe the evocative earthy smell of rain falling on dry earth; an experience that is worth cherishing.
Spa and wellness center
The property promotes health and wellbeing at its intimate spa center, which is surrounded by huge trees with blooming flowers. There are stones lined up for acupressure – a simple walk on these stones help in promoting wellbeing.
The spa offers a wide range of treatments, including full-body massages and Ayurveda inspired therapies. There are two treatment rooms well equipped with a steam room. We chose abhyangam massage, followed by a steam. The full body massage or abhyangam is highly recommended if you are looking for relaxation and rejuvenation.
There is also a yoga and relaxation room where regular meditation classes are held every day. Special mention goes to their garden where you must walk bare feet in the morning and feel the soft grass on your soles.
The fresh crisp air in the early morning is something that is rarely experienced amidst polluted environment in metropolitan cities. You must also visit their organic farm and the cow shed. The cows are fed well with good fodder daily. The property gets milk, curd and clarified butter from their cows.
I highly recommend you stay in Siddha wellness village to immerse yourself in wellness and hospitality. As you journey through the vertiginous scenery, you will find meaningful and uplifting experiences at every turn throughout the property – the spa and wellness center, mindful eating, sleep and self-discovery.
