Our Karma Experience
We started our Karma experience on a weekday. The drive towards the resort introduces us to serenity instantly. Wide open green spaces welcomed us with open hands as we drove towards the reception area. The shrill sounds of the birds take place of the loud honking noise of the traffic that we experience in Delhi. Wide spaces, golf course, warm attendants impress us instantly.
Safe welcoming with sanitizers, mask and all covid protocols helped us for a smooth check-in. The luxurious reception area offers an elegant yet relaxing environment, the ideal place to unwind with golf accessories kept on one side. The open-plan, airy, high-ceilinged lobby features large expanses of marble on the floor, creating beautiful grey veined motifs which lend an inherent luxury to the space. The best thing is that this place is pet friendly. So you can bring your furry babies and enjoy the staycation.
Upon arrival, we were served a delicious concoction of ginger, lime and honey that steers us to happiness in the first sip.
After devouring the welcome drink, we moved towards their organic all day dining – On Kourse. We were welcomed by the Executive chef who introduced us to Fresh and delicious juices and smoothies, local and exotic fruits and elegantly prepared hot dishes. What a great way to be introduced to organic flavors.
Accomodation
Guest rooms and suites have an alluring Mediterranean style, with beautiful use of natural materials and luxurious details. The hotel boasts some exceptional suites including garden and lakeside villas.
Karma Lakelands also has beautiful luxurious tents that are combination of natural elements and luxury commodities. From the outside the tent gives a rough adventure feel, however on stepping inside, it opens up to a tastefully decorated room with interesting touches in every corner.
From the beds to the wardrobe, everything is alluring. Ashna Khurana, the girl behind the design comes with a passion for creating luxury spaces with homely elements. Her passion and dedication to decorate can be seen in every corner of the space.
Our Private Villa
The Resort upgraded us with a luxury villa facing the golf course and lake. Complete with a huge living room, a dining space with fully functional kitchen, four bedrooms and attached washrooms, the luxurious haven spelled comfort and indulgence in every corner.
There are huge sit out areas that have beautiful well maintained potted plants beaming in the sunshine. The comfortably cozy, yet contemporary rooms feature King-sized beds with superior quality bedding, individually styled furniture, miniatures, writing desk and luxury amenities including a wide wardrobe in the dressing area.
The balconies offer magnificent views of the beautiful lake. Each corner of the villa reverberates with warmth and splendor with artefacts carefully selected by the owner and his family. They believe in creating a home away from home for guests. So you can simply sink in the luxurious vibe of the place and feel at home, literally. The spacious spa-like marble bathroom with two sinks, built-in huge mirrors, soft bath towels, toiletries, and rain shower add to the luxurious feel.
The lake outside the villa is well maintained and offers spectacular views. We enjoyed our morning tea sitting at the deck gazing at the huge trees and the adjoining golf course.
The add – on luxury factor was our own butler, Saurabh who was there 24/7 to ensure everything was well taken care of. From serving us warm lunch at the table to getting hot cup of tea or even taking care of our naughty shihtu, he helped us to enjoy our experience.
Dining
The On Kourse Restaurant –
The all-day restaurant has a hearty Indian and continental buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, besides Ala Carte cold and hot items that is served by smiling attendants. We sat outside with our pet to enjoy the open spaces.
The indoor restaurant offers a gamut of bright hues painted on the walls. Potted plants and walls painted with trees and plants offer a tropical ambience inside.
AKs bar
Located on the first floor is the spacious bar that catches your attention with its interesting murals, paintings and artefacts, carefully hand-picked by Mr. Ashwani. Bold and bright colors with matching upholstery are captivating. The pool table in the center adds to the bar experience for diners.
The absolute highlight of our stay was a meal at AKs bar. The Head Chef created a unique Chinese experience adding some truly original and delectable dishes for us. Each dish celebrated not only the unique style, but also the exceptional local produce from their organic farm. The place is open for lunch and dinner.
Things to see
Our kart with our very own loyal assistant helped us in sight-seeing. The resort has all amenities for a luxury stay, but it is also the perfect example of bio-diversity. A farm with a brick hut made with recycled plastic bottles is worth visiting.
There is also an animal farm where cows, goats, hens and bees are nurtured with love. The resort ensures the animals are well fed and taken care of. There is also a well maintained nursery that has trees and plants, well attended by gardeners.
The ruffling of the trees, sound of squirrels, and the chatter of the birds create a beautiful symphony in the air.
Recreation
Cycling around the property is the best way to take in fresh air and feast your eyes on the beautiful landscaping. If you love Nature, this place will etch some beautiful moments for a lifetime. With wonderful hiking routes through the open lanes, you can discover and explore more at Karma Lakelands.
We also tried our hand in golf and surprised ourselves with some amazing shots. The golf instructor helped us with patience to hit a few shots.
There is an indoor pool with Jacuzzi, steam and sauna – perfect gateway to paradise. For people who love yoga and meditation, there is Isha room that whisks you off to an odyssey of sanctity and wellness.
